So here it is.
In February I’m running across Haiti with Team Tassy! It’s an 8 day, 230 mile race from Cap Haïtien to Jacmel, in the heat. So if you’re asking yourself what I keep asking myself, “why on earth did you sign up for this?”, it’s because I whole heartedly believe in what Team Tassy is doing. They’re working right now to end poverty in Haiti by providing education, dignified jobs, and the necessary training. The goal of this race is to raise money, but it’s also about showing the beauty of this country – showing that this isn’t a place to be afraid of or to be pitied. It’s a beautiful country full of some of the best people in the world.
You can follow my journey through training and the run itself on Instagram with #runacrosshaitiRO, and you can follow the whole team with #runacrosshaiti.
